The string/twine remover works with all bales from 600 – 1200 mm high independent if they come after each other or in different heights after each other.
A counter and entrance sensor detect the bale and measures the length of the bale for calculating sequence start individually on each bale thus ensuring that regardless the length of the bale is the string removal always done in the middle of the bale.

Ate the same time as the knife is crossing the bale and cutting it, is also lowered the hook over the bale into position to take of the strings from the top, a bale sensor detects the bale height and ensures correct working height for the hook, every time.
The string of the straw bales is cut in the middle from the bottom up. After the knife has cut the string first time and it goes across to cut the 2nd time, is also activates the hook that collects the strings on the top of the bale in the middle of the bale, and takes the strings to the side of the bale.
When the hook has crossed over and pulled one side of the string in under the winder fork, then the winder fork is lowered down and winds all strings around the fork. After the winder is done goes the fork up again and the strings/twines fall off.

The straw bale under the string remover is ready to go into the bale breaker, and conveyer is again activated, at the same time as the fork goes up and hook is raised from the bale.
