Plastics collected from recycling stations and plastic production cannot easily be recycled into recycled plastic. Beforehand, these residues must be sorted into plastic types and divided into a smaller size before the material can be used in a plastic molding machine again. For this, the individual types of plastics must be further mixed in a ratio which gives a uniform melting temperature, which also mixes various lubricating oils in the waste plastic.
Cormall has provided design and solutions for this for many years.
The preferred mixing system for recycling plastic materials is by batch mixing, which is the mixture that together with load cells, ensures the most precise mixture, often a specific machine is used for each mixture, so as not to contaminate the individual mixtures from other mixtures.
Mixers can be delivered in sizes from 3-50 m3, and can be delivered in a design where emptying with very small residues between a batch mixture.
In combination with load cells and controlled damper opening, Cormall has developed and designed the mixers so that they can be used for out dosing in measured quantities and down into the container for further trading and batch registration.
To streamline the filling, mixing and emptying process, Cormall has designed a batch balancing container that can be placed before the mixer, to make the filling time as short as possible. Each component is weighed in the container while the mixer mixes and dispenses to the packaging plant. When the mixer is ready, the next mixture has already been weighed in, it now just needs to be filled up in the mixer, which takes less than 4 minutes.
